Established at the New School in 1993 by Dr. Jeremy Safran, the Lab (also known as the New School Center for Psychotherapy Research) grew out of the research program that Dr. Safran began in the early 1980’s at the Clarke Institute of Psychiatry, University of Toronto, Canada.
